Christine
General Manager
Christine has been in the dental field for over 35 years now! Having studied at Washtenaw Community College, she has worked as a dental assistant, a CPR instructor, a dental assistant instructor, and insurance billing specialist over the years. Today, what she enjoys most about her role is getting to form personal connections with each patient. She always goes the extra mile to make them more comfortable when they come in for an appointment.
Christine and her husband grew up together, and today, they have a son and daughter who both love hockey. In addition to being an enthusiastic hockey mom/manager, some of her other favorite hobbies include camping, 4-wheeling, vacationing (especially cruises), and golfing.
Elizabeth
Dental Hygienist
Elizabeth brings over a decade of experience to her patients at Smiles in Shelby, and we’re lucky to have her! She enjoys working close to home and getting to be a part of a flexible, experienced, and knowledgeable team. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has her certifications in laser dentistry, local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide.
Elizabeth’s hometown is Marine City, which is a small town in Michigan just north of Lake St. Clair. She has all brothers, and growing up, all of her neighbors were boys, so she considers herself a tom boy and loves all things spooky! Whenever she isn’t at work, you can find her baking, playing sports, traveling, spending time with her family, making home improvements, and being outdoors!
Erika
Dental Hygienist
Erika joined us in 2026 and brings over 15 years of experience to our practice. A graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, she also has certifications in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration.
Originally from Memphis, MI, Erika moved to Savannah, GA, after hygiene school and married her high school sweetheart. Today, they’ve been married for over a decade and decided to come back to Michigan to raise their boys. On the weekends, you’ll usually find everyone outdoors or cheering on the Red Wings or Tigers.
Kaitlyn
Lead Dental Assistant
Kaitlyn is an important member of our Smiles in Shelby dental family, and we’re glad to have her! She loves creating a positive and comfortable experience for patients and enjoys working alongside such a supportive team. Kaitlyn completed her dental assistant training and schooling at Macomb Community College.
Kaitlyn lives in Macomb with her family, which consists of her mom, dad, older brother, younger sister, and stepfather. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. An interesting fact about Kaitlyn is that she used to be a competitive dancer and won many national titles!
Mary-Grace
Dental Assistant
Mary-Grace says that few things feel better than knowing she’s a part of a team that does everything it can to improve people’s lives. She also likes that no two days are ever the same in dentistry, so she is always learning new things and improving.
Coming from a large family with five siblings, Mary-Grace likes to spend her free time crafting or staying active by skiing, snowboarding, or practicing archery.
