Dr. Leppek is our latest addition to Smiles in Shelby, and we’re grateful to welcome her to the team! Originally from Rochester Hills, Dr. Leppek is passionate about showing her patients that visiting the dentist doesn’t have to be a scary or uncomfortable experience. She always prioritizes her patients’ comfort and health, and she loves building long-lasting relationships with everyone who comes to see her. Dr. Leppek has always been interested in healthcare and studied biomedical engineering in college. Her dad, who is an engineer, encouraged her to check out dentistry because he thought she might like it. She loves the hands-on and artistic aspects of dentistry, and today, she knows she made the right decision by becoming a dentist!
Dr. Leppek attended the University of Iowa for both her undergraduate and dental degrees. She was president of Delta Sigma Delta as well, which is an international dental sorority with roots in Ann Arbor, Michigan, dating back to 1882.
Dr. Leppek is also dedicated to staying up to date with the latest advancements in her field and remains an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Whenever Dr. Leppek isn’t at the dental office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats. She also plays co-ed sand volleyball twice a week, enjoys working on crafting projects with her Cricut and laser engraver, gardening, and listening to psychology and crime podcasts. An interesting fact about Dr. Leppek is that her 4x8 relay team set a state record back in high school!
